low-hanging fruit

 

Definiton: the obvious or easy things that can be done or dealt with in achieving success; tasks that are easy to accomplish 低垂的果實, 比喻唾手可得的東西, 容易實現的目標。

 

Example 1: When cutting expenses, many people start with the low-hanging fruit: their entertainment cost. 當要削減生活開支, 很多人從最容易的下手: 娛樂費用。

Example 2: Tom just can't stop picking that low-hanging fruit. He just brought home another waitress.  湯姆就是愛找容易到手的女孩, 他又帶了一個女服務生回家。
