(my) two cents
(my) two cents
Definition: an unsolicited opinion; someone's opinion about something, especially when it was not asked for. 個人意見, 特別是在沒有被詢問的情況下
Example 1: I don't think Lia is faithful to her husband. That is just my two cents. 我不認為 Lia 對老公忠實, 個人意見。
Example 2: Here's my two cents: You should sell the house. 我的個人意見是, 你應該把房子賣了。

從字面上很容易了解, two cents 就是兩分錢的意思。
更完整的說法是 put in my (或是 your, his, her) two cent, 例如: Kenny always insists on putting in his two cents whether we want his opinion or not. 不管我們想不想聽肯尼的意見, 他總是堅持發表高見。
如果跟熟人在一起談天, put in your two cents 無可厚非。如果跟不熟的人在一起, 就最好避免了, 否則被覺得愛管閒事。
