stay in your lane

 

Definiton: mind your own business; stop talking about things you don't understand 不要管別人閒事; 不要對不懂的事情發表高見

 

Example 1: I don't need you to tell me how to raise my kids.  Stay in your lane.  我不需要你告訴我怎樣教我的小孩, 管你自己的事情就好。

Example 2: You should stay in your lane since you are not a doctor.  You don't know anything about medicine.  妳既不是醫生就別亂發表高見。妳又不懂醫藥。

Stay in your lane 字面上的意思就是待在你的車道/線道裡

了解你自己的角色, 待在你的車道裡, 不要去管人家閒事

 

會省下很多麻煩

有些事你管太多也沒用, 只有老天能解決。但是, 也不要自掃門前雪, 適時關心他人是必須的, 懂得拿捏分寸就好。
