第四十一課:  social butterfly

我們都認識那種能言善道, 長袖善舞, 喜好交際的人, 像隻花蝴蝶似的穿梭往來在不同的小團體間, 只要有趴踢就有他們的身影, 英文也有類似花蝴蝶的說法喔!!

social butterfly  n.

Definition: A person who is very social and easygoing, makes friends easily; can be a male or a female.   A social butterfly usually goes from party to party to be seen.  外向愛社交的人; 喜歡現身各種社交場合引人注意

Example:

(In a party....  趴踢裡)

Greg: Your wife is really fun.  She can always make a bunch of new friends in just a few minutes. 你太太真是個有趣的人, 總是能很快認識新朋友

Tim: Yeah.  She's been a social butterfly since high school.  是啊, 她從高中時代就是隻花蝴蝶

Greg:  Lots of guys like this kind of girl.  You'd better keep an eye on her. 很多男人喜歡這樣的女孩, 你要注意點囉!

Tim: I know. 我知道

有些人跟social butterfly 恰好相反, 不愛參加活動, 就算參加了也在角落自己一個人, 這種人就是壁花wallflower 或是loner.

你是哪一種呢???     阿甘應該都不是....雖然我也愛跑趴, 但我都是很低調的喔
