heartthrob

每一個女孩 (或男孩) 成長過程當中一定都迷過男性偶像, 這些俊帥男明星讓很多人的生活充滿遐想和夢幻, 不致平淡無聊, 這種男人就叫做 heartthrob。

heartthrob n. 

Definition: a man, typically a celebrity, whose good looks excite immature romantic feelings in women.  外型姣好的名人男性, 能夠引起女性的浪漫遐想; 男偶像, 少女殺手, 師奶殺手

Example 1: Orlando Bloom is such a heartthrob.   I have butterflies every time I see him.  奧蘭多布魯好帥, 每次看到他就小鹿亂撞。

Example 2: He was a heartthrob in the 90s.  Now he's a nobody. 他在九零年代是受女性風靡的當紅偶像, 現在甚麼也不是。
